Virtual Dolby
Dolby Virtual Speaker technology is a proprietary process that makes it
possible to enjoy natural, realistic surround sound using just two
stereo speakers. It transforms such activities as TV watching, movie
viewing, and music listening into a thrilling surround sound experience
without the added expense and complexity of a traditional surround
system.
Virtual Dolby
Digital
3D Virtual Dolby creates a surround sound effect using your T.V. stereo
speakers.
Visible Screen Size
The size of the screen which is measured diagonally across the face
screen. Most glass tubed televisions will have a certain amount of the
tube hidden behind the edge of the screen making the visible screen
slightly smaller i.e. A 36" television would actually be a 34" screen.
LCD/Plasma technologies have no need to hide the screen behind the
plastic for support so smaller screens will seem to give a larger
picture.
VPS
VPS is a method of controlling video cassette recorders so that
rescheduled or delayed programmes are recorded in their entirety. PDC,
also known as startext and PDC, is a European TV standard.
V-SENSOR
The V-Sensor prevents wasted tape and blank recordings. It
automatically interrupts recording if no sound is detected for four
seconds, then resumes recording when somebody starts speaking again.
