Jog and Shuttle
Used on VCRs and occasionally DVDs. The jog dial gives frame-by-frame advance while the shuttle allows variable speed picture search in both Fast Forward and Rewind modes.

JPEG Viewing
A graphics file compression system. Can display up to 16 million colours and has a .jpeg or a .jpg extension. Widely used on the internet, computing and in digital stills cameras This format uses lossy compression, which means that some parts of the file are lost so that the files take up less space.
